In 2001 & the following years, i've been working a lot with Dan Ghenacia.
Dan was part of the cool guys in Paris, throwing a lot of parties and afterparties and particularly those at Batofar, a small boat on la Seine.
We met in records store and came to the conclusion that we could help each other in a nice way : i knew how to produce and release records, he knew how to organize one hell of a party and promote it.
Dan started to book me to play at this parties and at the same time we started making music together. We did a few releases and had a lot of fun doing so. OF course this was long before Apollonia but just a few months before the launch of Freak n'Chic. Dan wanted his home label (which was named after his parties at Le Zèbre in Paris) so we created it and added it to the labels pool at Venus, along with Robsoul and Brique Rouge. As for Robsoul, i designed the sleeve as Roger Chacal, my graphic designer alter ego.
This release on Brique Rouge is the first on the label with Dan, the second will a few months later under a guise...
The EP features a remix by the almighty Mazi aka Audio Soul Project from Chicago and an unreleased track i originaly produced for Straylight but that did not make it to the cut.
